Despite the recent health crisis, the number of students occupying these facilities keeps growing. If a specific dorm intends to set itself apart from other options, it should definitely become more customizable and offer the best possible services. At [Televes Corporation](https://televescorporation.com/), we would like to give you some tips so your dorm can be the first choice for any student.   ## **Optimal connectivity for the highest customization** Dorms seeking the greatest degree of customization must feature **both the infrastructure and the proper environment able to support it**. Back in the day, it was quite about aesthetic or design elements; today, good customization lies on digital elements. In other words: optimal connectivity that is ultrafast, that features several Wi-Fi access points, able to support traffic peaks without being affected at all. These are the foundations of the customization that will make your dorm unique. Just to mention one example, casting services are now **necessary for leisure and can be even put to great use for studying.** This type of services allows users to cast contents from any device – such as a cell phone – to a TV. Therefore, they can benefit from both leisure – TV series, movies – and education programs by casting the contents they need for their studies.   ## **How to make the most of dorms** Thanks to digital signage, buildings can be customized to the fullest, as important messages for their residents, or even pictures of events that may be held at the dorm can be displayed – which has become **specially relevant after the health crisis**. This type of signage will allow you to inform about the capacity of a specific area, its availability or the number of reservations in real time. This way, you can create **safe and comfortable spaces**. Apart from allowing for customization, this tool is also worth a look, as occasional banners can be implemented – dorm services for its students or any other external service. This is another good way of benefiting even more from the dorm’s signage system and **making a profit**. It is noteworthy to mention that, thanks to this service, **contents can be displayed in different languages**. Not only does this help exchange students integrate, but also gives an international image of the dorm when displaying information in several languages.   ## **Leisure tailored for your guests** Without a doubt, today’s leisure is being associated with digital spaces. Streaming services are exceeding the share ratios of traditional TV channels, and online games are really catching on. This is where we can help any dorm reach a high degree of customization. If the facilities feature the appropriate infrastructure, a **multi-service high-performance IPTV system** can be implemented so that the contents consumed by the students can be customized through their room TV. By integrating this system into the cast services that we mentioned before, you can **create a very comfortable ambiance** for every guest. Offering this level of customization is what makes one dorm become the first option. The aim is to design comfortable spaces that can be used for both leisure and study.   ## **The cost of customizing dorms** It is mistakenly believed that customizing dorms involves high costs. Even if it requires an upfront outlay to develop the infrastructure, **mid- and long-term expenses tend to reduce**. The broadband GPON installation – from which digital ecosystems are installed – normally consume fewer resources. Greater **energy efficiency** can be achieved, which allows cost savings and a reduction in your ecological footprint. In addition, the main connection method of this system is fiber optics, so **maintenance is required less frequently** – not to mention the advantages of fiber optics itself, such as less signal losses.   Unique dorms are characterized by their higher customization level. This is, without a doubt, the go-to option for those environments seeking to set themselves apart from their competitors.   ### [J.
